Two Tournament Formats:

QUAD: Three games; players compete in sections of four (by rating); best score in each section wins $20 ($30 with $10 entry) or $10 ($20) + trophy. Entry fee: $10, $5 for under 19 or over 50.

MINI-SWISS: Three games; players compete in sections of 8-10 (by rating); best score in section wins $50 ($40 in student sections); second place $25 ($20); trophies optional. Entry fee: $12, $7 for under 19 or over 50.


Two Tournament Time Limits (Chess clocks available):

SLOW PUSH (Saturdays): 40 moves in 60 minutes, second time-control: G/30.

SEMI-ACTION (Sundays): Game in 45 minutes.


U.S. Chess Federation and Michigan Chess Association memberships are required, and can be purchased at registration.
